Recap Update
I’m sorry to all of you that the recaps have fallen behind! Last weekend was the holiday, and I spent it with family (as I hope many of you were able to), and this week has been extremely crazy.
And tomorrow is the finale!
They will all be done. They will all happen. I will try like crazy to crank them out as soon as I can, but I promise they will get done, and I’ll see if I can knock one out tomorrow pre-finale.

Thanks! Was a little worried that your fingers froze when your house was cold (per your tweets).
Will have them to look forward to! Been a fan for years.

Are they still in the works, Linda? The season just won’t feel complete until you’ve explained to me why I feel the way I do about it. It’s been such fun watching with you again–and it’s the reason I donated to Donors Choose this year after half-heartedly meaning to in previous years. So, thanks for that too.

Looking forward to the recaps!

They are on the way, yes! Unfortunately, in recent weeks, I have had a few issues with wrist/hand stuff that I think is excessive-typing-related, and I’ve been really trying to stay away from too much keyboarding over the weekends, which are the best times for this stuff. But yes, they ARE on the way. I owe one more for Donors Choose and promised the other two anyway, so they will definitely get done.

Will we still get recaps? If not, no worries–we don’t want to aggravate your wrist/hand issues!

Same question — is it reasonable to still hope for them at this point? If not, I’ll adjust my expectations accordingly, with thanks for the ones you did give us.

Well, we’re now in new seasons of both TAR and Survivor, so I garner it’s ridiculously late for the missing recaps. Who even remembers the past seasons?
It’s a shame though, especially for the one that was owed to Donors Choose.

I realize how tempting it is to take on your most judgmental tone of voice when tut-tutting other people over their failings.
As I explained, I went through a situation just at the end of the TAR season when I was having a medical issue with hands and wrists where I was trying to avoid all long-form typing that was not absolutely short-deadline, job-critical writing, and by the time that had passed, doing the remaining one that was on the Donors Choose list seemed stale.
Thus, I decided to kick it forward and do one from this season when it started to make up for it, which I feel bad about, but honestly? I did many, many hours of work for this project, and I did my best, and I’m sorry I came up one short. As a writer paying for my own insurance, I cannot afford to wind up needing carpal tunnel surgery. I’m sorry you’re disappointed.

It’s just amazing how entitled and rude people can be when they are anonymous on the internet.
